Downer are proud to be the Facility Management Services provider for Exemplar Health - providing essential services to Bendigo Health as part of the Bendigo Hospital Project PPP.
The Bendigo Hospital Project is delivered as a public-private partnership (PPP) under the State Government’s Partnerships Victoria policy.
The Exemplar Health consortium was responsible for designing and building the new Bendigo Hospital (opened in 2017) and providing a range of facilities management services to the new building for 25 years (until 2042).
Exemplar Health consortium consists of Capella Capital as sponsor, Lend Lease as builder and provider of equity, Downer as facilities and non-clinical services manager and Siemens as equity provider.
A 500-strong Downer local team are proud to provide essentials services, inclusive of Hard FM Services and Soft FM Services, for Bendigo Health at the New Bendigo Hospital Facility.

As part of the delivery of Food Services at the Bendigo Hospital Project - Downer provide Ancillary Food Services via Flex.
Downer provides the below Ancillary Food Services as part of the Bendigo Hospital Project:
- Ancillary Grocery - a range of food/grocery type items to IPUs and departments, delivered twice per day (morning delivery window 7am to midday and afternoon delivery window 2pm to 8pm).
- Ancillary Functions - a function catering service to all areas of the Precinct, with a function menu that aligns to the Healthy Choices framework.
